This blog is a journey which chronicles my "sweet tooth" in working with clay, fabric, paint, mixed media and whatever else happens to capture my attention. I have found such peace working with my hands. I believe we all need hobbies to help us cope with the stresses of living in our world. It is my hope that this might inspire you to find a creative medium which speaks to you . . . and find peace. Namaste.

Peace Rock Mosaic
This is a rock mosaic here in Santa Fe. It is made from lovely smooth river rock. It is one of those hidden surprises that we found driving through some of our charming neighborhoods.
I hope you have all had a good week and that you find something peace-filled and relaxing to do this weekend.

Wishing you a peace-filled week
This photo was taken about 30 minutes northwest of Santa Fe. The little church in the foreground is on the San Ildefonso Pueblo with Battleship Rock in the background. If you look closely you can see snow in the Sangre de Christo mountains. We spent this weekend on two art tours. Saturday in the lovely town of Galisteo and today in quaint El Rito. New Mexico is in its glory this time of year. I love everything about it! I hope your weekend has been relaxing and that your week ahead is rewarding and full of peace.

Peace Wall
As many of you know I am a music teacher here in Santa Fe. My students have picked up that I am an advocate for peace . . . . I'm not very subtle about it actually. :) My students have been generous in providing me with pictures and notes about peace which I am enjoying very much. We've started a peace wall in my classroom. Here's a glimpse at the start of something beautiful . . . a peace-filled.

One Thousand Acts of Peace
I came across a new website today called One Thousand Acts of Peace (TAP). The site suggests that each person performs three acts of peace a day. In a year that's over one thousand. Check it out! Tell a friend! Who have you shared peace with today?

Peaceful View
I have an amazing view of the Sangre de Christo mountains from my classroom windows. If I step outside my door . . . this is what I get to look at everyday. Lucky me! The aspens are at the peak right now and on Saturday evening the ground received a blanket of snow. Time for mittens and scarves to come from the back of the closet. I love it!!

Where does the time go?
Hello!! Thanks for the emails from some of my regular peace-seeking folks! I am here, just haven't been posting as much as I'd like! :) I've been busy working on some school projects, trying to create some peace-themed Christmas ornaments and also enjoying the fabulous fall weather here in Santa Fe. I appreciate all of you and will be posting regularly again! Hopefully tomorrow I will capture some pictures of the new fallen snow in the Sangre de Christo mountains!! Yes SNOW in Santa Fe! I hope all of you are enjoying a peaceful beginning to your week.
